Lina Kiva, Piano Tutor
She is a distinguished alumna of the esteemed Piano Department of Kiev State Academy, where she not only completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies but also emerged as a beacon of excellence.
Her illustrious career as a Professor of Piano at the revered Lviv State Conservatoire is testament to her dedication and virtuosity. Lina has graced stages alongside the Ukrainian National Orchestra, delivering performances that have garnered widespread critical acclaim. Her musical journey saw her collaborating with leading Ukrainian virtuosos, and her talent was showcased in tours spanning Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Polish, and, of course, Irish cities.
With an enviable treasure trove of awards to her name, both for stellar solo performances and impeccable accompaniment, Lina is a maestro much in demand. Her artistry has also seen the limelight on television and radio platforms in Ukraine, capturing hearts and imaginations alike.
Today, Ireland is privileged to be her home. Here, Lina's reputation as a premier accompanist and soloist is rapidly growing. She has collaborated with luminaries like the Soprano Toni Walsh, Georgian Bass David Jozhaze, the sensational Violinist Zoe Conway, and the melodious Celtic Choristers Male Voice Choir.
At the Piano Academy of Ireland, we are incredibly proud and fortunate to have Lina Butorina-Kiva as part of our esteemed faculty, shaping the future of budding pianists and continuing her legacy of musical excellence.
Am thoroughly enjoying my lessons and getting re-acquainted with the piano after many years! Lina’s command of the instrument and her love of the music (even when I am mangling it!) shines through in every lesson.
