Molly is preparing for the grade 5 theory ABRSM examination in her PAI Musicianship classes and has prepared for all her theory examinations in these classes. To be honest she has found these classes invaluable and she has achieved distinction in all her theory grades to date. However theory exam accreditation is only one of many benefits that Molly gets from attending PAI Musicianship. These classes definitely enhance the excellent piano instruction Molly receives and help her to score top marks in the theory section of the piano grade examinations. Also, and more importantly, they give Molly a much clearer understanding of the language of music, and I believe that it is from that understanding that Molly’s feeling for music flows. I would definitely advise all PAI piano students to attend these classes, they are free to all PAI piano students, and the time you spend in these classes will be time well spent. At the moment Molly is participating in her classes via zoom due to covid19 government restrictions. Her teacher David Coonan has made the switch over to virtual classes very seamlessly. He keeps each individual class small, and Molly says they work just as well as live classes. Molly looks forward to her class each week, which I suppose is the best recommendation of all.
Thank you for your support , it will be a difficult time for us all but I think moving the lessons online and adapting gives everyone involved a nice break, something to distract ourselves with and a bit of normality! So thank you for the huge effort you all have made! We all really appreciate it.
My lesson allows for self direction- I am given the opportunity to take control of my own learning.

Very happy with music lesson- a good balance of theory and practise.

Gregor feels the lesson passes quickly because he enjoys it even though he finds it hard work! Rhona explains things well and doesn’t go too fast for Gregor. She keeps Gregor's attention and he listens well.

The concerts are a lovely celebration of music, both for high level and beginners!

Penny runs into class so I know she is enjoying them!

The first three months of lessons (I haven't taken lessons in a long time) have been as fulfilling as they have been challenging…on to 2010. I should probably talk less and play more…this will naturally follow as pieces are more worked up and I am less 'worked up'! I enjoy discussions about the shape & colour of the music - interpretation is a matter of personal expression, and it amazes me how much I miss in the music and how much I can learn.

I am very happy with how lesson is being organised- I've only booked for 1/2 hour lesson and it feels a bit short, but that's my problem!

We love the happy, positive atmosphere which permeates the Piano Academy of Ireland - no pressure, just enjoyment of the instrument! Keep it up!
Rosaleen Connolly, parent
The running of the Academy seems to be very smooth and calm. There seems to be a musical ambiance when Stan arrives and it is quite a long day before his music lesson starts.
