The Piano Festival Dublin 2014 is a celebration of music and talent, welcoming pianists of all ages to perform, compete, and grow in a supportive environment at Pianos Plus, Dublin.

Piano Festival Dublin 2014 – 5th Annual National Event

The Piano Festival Dublin 2014 marks the 5th Annual National Piano Festival, an exciting event designed to inspire pianists from across Ireland. Hosted at Pianos Plus Showrooms & Recital Room from March 14th to 16th, the festival provides a professional platform for young musicians and adults alike to showcase their artistry and passion for the piano.

This national piano festival in Dublin features wide-ranging categories, from children under 6 to adult performers over 50. Each participant is encouraged to choose their own piece, adding personality, originality, and creativity to their performance. What makes this festival unique is its supportive concert-style setting, the presence of warm-up pianos for all performers, and the tradition of providing every participant with detailed feedback as well as a free gift.

Competitors will be adjudicated by distinguished professors including Dr. David Mooney and Prof. Mary Lennon, both highly respected figures in Irish piano education. Their expertise ensures high standards and meaningful feedback for each performer.

In previous years, students traveled from counties such as Louth, Meath, Kildare, Kilkenny, Roscommon, and Sligo, demonstrating the festival’s reputation as one of Ireland’s most anticipated piano competitions. The Ireland piano festival 2014 promises another inspiring celebration of live performance, encouraging pianists to reach new heights while sharing music with audiences and peers.

Whether you are a beginner, advanced student, or adult pianist, the Piano Festival Dublin offers an inclusive and uplifting experience that honors Ireland’s love for music.

Our Festival is a unique opportunity for all to celebrate the piano whilst acting as a platform for pianists to convey the musical messages of great composers. We all know & appreciate the power of live performance and how it can instantly change the way we feel. Pianists are urged to develop and showcase their unique talents and perform with individuality, personality, originality and spontaneity.

We are really looking forward to hosting our 5th Annual National Piano Festival. Based on feedback from previous Festivals, what sets our Festival apart is a combination of things – the wide age categories, from under 6 years tots all the way to the Over 50’s, the freedom of ‘own choice’ pieces, the relaxed ‘concert’ setting (with a healthy competitive edge), comprehensive feedback delivered to each performer, FREE gift for all participants and finally something else that doesn’t usually come with National Festivals – warm-up pianos! Pianos Plus will be providing us yet again with their fabulous facility, of both warm-up pianos and a beautiful Recital Room.

We are very pleased to enclose details of next year’s National Piano Festival, which will take place once again at Pianos Plus Showrooms & Recital Room: Oak Road, Dublin 12 (easy access off M50) Friday 14th March ~ Monday 16th March 2014.

In 2013 we were host to those travelling from as far as counties Louth, Meath, Westmeath, Kildare, Wicklow, Kilkenny, Roscommon, Sligo and Armagh as well as the greater Dublin area itself. Based on the very positive feedback we received in previous years (and last year being our first National Festival), we are expecting an even greater number of entries this time! We are also planning some fabulous recitals throughout the Festival, details to follow.

Thanking you for your support!
Please spread the word & pass on the enclosed Information Brochures & application forms to your teachers & students, our Festival being an ideal platform for pianists for all ages and levels. The closing date for entries is Friday 14th Feburary 2014.
