The Piano Academy Academic Calendar 2026–2027 provides students and families with all the important dates for the school year, including term times, concerts, and special events. Running from September 7th, 2026 to June 2027, the calendar ensures clear planning for lessons, performances, and community activities.

Highlights of this academic year include our Christmas Concerts on December 4–5, 2026, and the Summer Concerts on May 21–22, 2027. All performances take place at Rathgar Methodist Church, featuring our 9-foot Kawai Concert Grand Piano. The January term begins on the 4th, offering a fresh start for students continuing their musical journey.

School Year

Our school year runs from:
Monday 7th September 2026 – June 2027 inclusive

All classes commence the week of Monday 7th September 2026.
The January term commences on Monday 4th January 2027.

Breaks & closures:

  • Mid-term break: closed 26 October – 1 November 2026
  • Christmas holidays: closed 22 December 2026 – 3 January 2027
  • Mid-term break: closed 15 – 20 February 2027
  • St. Patrick’s Day: closed 17 March 2027
  • Easter holidays: closed 23 March – 4 April 2027
  • May Bank Holiday: closed 3 May 2027
  • June Bank Holiday: closed 7 June 2027
  • August Bank Holiday: closed 2 August 2027

Last lessons of the year take place 16 – 19 June 2027, with make-up lessons on 22 & 24 – 27 June 2027.
The Summer Term runs 28 June – 28 August 2027.
